Venice Biennale 2026: curator Carlo Stragapede also exhibited Ottavio Pinarello's work at the official pavilion of San Servolo (home of the Guinea National Pavilion) at the 61st edition of the Venice Biennale. The theme of the San Servolo pavilion, Le Son de l'Art: l'Écho de la Matière, follows the wishes of curator Koyo Kouoh (who recently passed away) who wanted a 2026 art biennial animated by dialogue between cultures but with a certain discretion, In Minor Keys, without excesses, and dedicated to a deeper internal analysis of being, to a deeper introspection, which Carlo Stragapede himself found in the works of Ottavio Pinarello.
Note: The Zipper - La Cerniera (70x100 cm, 2018), in addition to being a “synthetic example” of Ottavio Pinarello’s work, was chosen by the artist for the context and theme of the exhibition at the Venice Biennale 2026, which seeks comparison between different cultures: the zipper as a form of border which however unites and creates a connection between different entities, a relationship between distinct faces and profiles that coexist and together constitute the soul of the humankind…
